Professional Panache Workshop TONIGHT

eportfolioLooking for a job or think you might be in the future?  Want to learn about emerging trends that help distinguish you from the competition in networking and presenting your qualifications?  Come to this (FREE) workshop to learn the value of creating e-portfolios (mandatory for Human Services students in the Senior Seminar course; valuable for all); get tips on how to make an e-portfolio interesting using innovative technology; and discuss the clinical, professional, and ethical implications for using them, especially for those interested in a career in psychology.

Also!  Tips on using digital/social media in a job search; best practices for writing cover letters, resumes, and prezumes.

Intrigued?  We hope so….!  Presenters will include Dr. Helen Marlo, Program Director of the Clinical Psych department; Dr. Therese Madden, Program Director of the Human Services program; John Tran, Clinical Psych Master’s student (and technology wizard); Dr. Craig Brewer, Dean, School of Business and Managmenet; and Hannah Yanow, Advising Analyst, Clinical Psych department.  Presented by the Clinical Psych Department.

Location:  Sobrato, Bay Room, at 350 Twin Dolphins Drive, Redwood Shores.  (From 101, turn East from the Ralston/Marine Parkway exit (instead of West, which you would choose if going to campus).  Make a right at Twin Dolphins Drive, which is at the second stop light.  350 Twin Dolphins Drive will be a few blocks down, on the right.  Lots of parking available!

Time:  5:30-7:30.
