Last night our Human Services capstone class accepted the Spirituality Office’s invitation to join the Sisters of Notre Dame at the Province Center for dessert. What a delightful experience! Each of the students had just completed a Hallmarks reflection as part of their portfolio project and so meeting those who had been part of designing the projects was especially relevant. Office of Spirituality interns Lima and Siaila led the whole group – students and sisters – in a series of questions about NDNU and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and gave prizes for those who knew correct answers. Perhaps the funniest moment was when the organizers warned us that we wouldn’t stay too late because we didn’t want to tire out the sisters. Hearing this, they all looked at each other and laughed; there was no lack of energy or enthusiasm in that room and talking with them left our whole class buzzing with happy excitement. What a wonderful event!
