4 08 2015

Ipeople cut outs thought this article had some good points, whether you are the employer/manager or looking for an employer who supports your desire to be your best.  These come from comments by Sarah Kauss, CEO of S’well, in an interview in Fortune magazine, which are worth reading in full.

Some points:

  • Foster clear career paths
  • Nurture connections and relationships
  • Define and encourage deeper purpose
  • Inspire employees to be their best selves

What do you think?  Do these resonate with your own experiences?  As leader or individual contributor, what can you do in your workplace to foster each of these points?

The Quincho Project

I have found that “Managing Up” and gaining support from higher level executive leaders is key to establishing broader programs for your team. As an individual contributor, leading by example is foundational. If you don’t have your own clear career path for example, it’s difficult to lay one out for your team members.
