PCRCThe Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center is looking for a part-time Development Director

(Part-time .8 FTE, Exempt)

PCRC is a communication and dispute resolution organization. We assist clients in solving their most complex personal, organizational, and social challenges. Our areas of focus are: to empower youth, to strengthen families, and to engage communities. Our expertise in training, facilitation, and mediation is at the core of these focus areas.

PRIMARY ROLE

The primary role of the Development Director is to lead the creation and execution of PCRC’s fund development strategy. The strategy will be designed to raise funds, and to build and expand donors and further our reach in the community. The Development Director reports to the Executive Director and oversees a Communication Associate and fund development contractors or vendors, as needed. The current organizational fund development goal is $150,000 – $250,000.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identifies, cultivates, and nurtures relationships with current and potential donors
a. Creates and implements the fund development strategy and annual giving plan
b. Manages giving campaigns and initiatives
c. Oversees all unrestricted foundation and corporate grants
2. Manages all public relations and marketing communications
a. Ensures all website and social media materials are current and relevant
b. Manages all media relationships including the development and distribution of press releases
c. Oversees the development of professional communication and marketing materials
3. Builds the capacity and “know how” of PCRC’s Board of Directors and staff for outreach and solicitation
a. Staffs the Board of Director’s Fund Development Committee
b. Provides periodic presentations and trainings to board members and staff
4. Coordinates all fund development administrative responsibilities
a. Maintains current database, providing regular reports to board and Executive Director
b. Manages contractor and vendor relationships as needed
c. Oversees all aspects related to fund development activities and events

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent prior experience
o 5-10 years of experience with a non-profit
o Proven track record of achieving revenue targets
o Proven management and leadership capabilities
o High energy; positive, “can-do” attitude; flexibility; ability to work in teams; and attention to detail; high degree of initiative
o Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
o Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
o Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new donors
o Strong partnership-building and event planning skills
o Thorough understanding of all components of a diversified funding base
o Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of fundraising database programs

Compensation
$56,000-60-000 @ .80 FTE (70,000-75,000/Annual full time equivalent)
This is an exempt position offering a competitive salary and a compensation package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, 403(B) plan, vacation, and holidays.
