Human Services Senior Darryl Redfield is being honored this week by San Jose’s Partners in Reading program. Last spring, Darryl did his Capstone Project with this organization, leading a college fair that targeted adults with disabilities, explaining their options for completing college. Judy Klikun, the Manager of the Partners in Reading program, said that Darryl has been “committed, selfless, [and] hard working,” highlighting his leadership role because he worked to “promote higher education and support [other adults] as they improve their lives.” She added that “this honor is an important event for the City of San José and San José Public Library. Over 150 people will be in attendance, including dignitaries from the city represented by six of the San José City Councilmembers, department directors and other dignitaries.”
Congratulations, Darryl and thanks for sharing your success so that we can celebrate with you!
