We learned with great sadness of the death of Morris Tabak, a member of our PSP family and a Human Services student who graduated in 2012. Morris was an extraordinary person and a student who inspired many others. In the Human Services capstone class, all students present a career portfolio and Morris’ was full of impressive accomplishments. As the Assistant Police Chief for the San Francisco Police Department, a position from which he retired in 2010, Morris led projects and worked directly with many civic leaders. His portfolio contained photos of his work with each of the last five Presidents of the United States as they conducted business in and around San Francisco and through his work he accomplished much for the community that he served. Those of us who knew Morris in class recall how poignantly he spoke of his greatest pride, “raising his two sons as a single dad” and his joy in raising his lovely daughter with his wife, for he spoke of his family such deep love.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family today.
Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
